"Going to high school for the first time is always scary... Especially the second time around."
Forty-six-year-old ex-junkie and former hooker Jerri Blank returns to her hometown, Flatpoint, after serving time in the local prison. Her mother has died and her father is in a coma. Jerri approaches her old high school principal, Onyx Blackman, and asks if she can return to school to pick up where she left off years ago.
