Someone at the Door plot

When Sally inherits a mansion, her young brother Ronnie, an aspiring journalist, arrives in a sensational way to make his first big scoop. He wants Sally to 'disappear' and be arrested for the murder himself. During his trial she reappears, his acquittal follows and he is able to provide his newspaper with an exclusive story. Sally and her fiancé, Bill, agree to the plan. However, there are complications that they did not foresee.
