Scary Movie 3

The best part. Revised after several years and the fun moments are still very funny. Anna Faris isn't the best actress out there, but I think it's admirable how she's completely absorbed in the madness. It's a talent of hers.

The rap battle remains fun and the last part with Leslie Nielsen is also strong. Not everything is equally successful, but fortunately the film does look a bit more inspired than the previous part. And luckily no Wayans brothers this time. Sheen, Nielsen, Faris, Hall and young Mikuska as MVP Coyd are a lot more fun.

For me the best Scary Movie!

Only for the scene of Brenda in her coffin and all the chaotic absurdity surrounding it, this film gets a 4 from me!

What else should I do?1

Watched this movie +- 40 times and every time I watch the previously mentioned scene I have to replay it +- 20 times and then it still breaks on the 20th time but then I stop because my abs hurts too much ! To me, this movie is HI-LA-RICH from the first to the last minute!

Also revised again.

Recently, however, decided to review the entire series as the movies used to entertain me, but I don't remember too much about them. The unfortunate thing is that I do know that good films were mixed in, and that I can hardly recall the films anymore, so it's a shame, something has to be done about it.

Scary Movie 3 chose a new director to do the job, because apparently Wayans was no longer interested after part 2. That part was rushed, the studios must have interfered again, but then it is not surprising that Wayans never returned. In any case, Zucker manages to pick up the level nicely, but not (much) improve it.

Scary Movie 3 has a lot of dry jokes that sometimes work. I found that stunt with the newsreader very funny, other jokes are less fun. Nevertheless, I could laugh a little harder about this overall than part 2. Where that part was a bit too uncomfortable, this part mainly focuses on slapstick and it still works somewhat fresh, in a very strange way.

Also nice, clear references to other films. It is therefore one of the most expensive Movie parodies ever made. In any case, I was already glad that this film did not resemble a Seltzer & Friedberg film. Compared to those films, this Scary Movie 3 is of a different level, and knows how to spend the money just a little better.

Overall, this turned out to be a very entertaining movie. Very bland and easy, of course, but just a bit smoother than the previous part and also a small step forward in terms of quality. It feels a little less daring, but that should rarely affect the fun. I once again thoroughly enjoyed a film from this series, although it does not reach the level of part 1 of course.
