Romeo und Jutta plot

Piano tuner Jürgen Stoll was given a choice in 1983: to go to prison in the GDR, or to the FRG to pursue a career as 'Romeo'. Naturally, the life artist, who is adored by many women, chooses the FRG, convinced that he will manage to escape the Stasi. But he soon finds himself under constant surveillance and things don't get any easier when he falls in love with Jutta and tries to escape with her.
