Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor) graduated with great difficulty and mediocre grades, but that doesn't stop him from embarking on a glittering career as a salesman. With a deep and positive sigh he dives into the world of sales. It is considered the greatest career for all the smart ones, who can't study medical, technical or economic. And that only because of some silly exams. It's everything he's ever dreamed of: the slick exterior and even slicker salespeople selling ice cream to Eskimos, dreams to insomniacs, and a lifelong contract to a dying man. He soon finds out that his ideas of success don't match the strange attitudes of the people he looked up to.
