In the 1980s, Stéphanie grows up in La Courneuve with an absent mother and a sassy stepfather. She quickly decides to leave her daily boredom. With her grandmother's love, her reading, her passion for dance and for Jean-Jacques Goldman, she struggles in a colorful city where friendship is central. Stéphanie is sure, one day she will leave that city to live the life she has always dreamed of.
