Second viewing and also really liked it. It takes some income, but One Two Three gradually becomes more fun and fun. And faster and faster, until a moment when everything really flies by at a furious pace. Billy Wilder gives us - like no one else can - a rollercoaster ride of hell; one runs and flies through the image and the astute dialogues and insults follow each other at an unprecedented high speed. You shouldn't be averse to farce-like films, caricatures and constantly screaming characters, but at least there's no getting bored.

4 stars.

Too bad too bad .... I really think this is a film that screams to be shot in color. Unfortunately a black and white recording, which did not do justice to the hilarity and the many happy moments as far as I'm concerned. Color had given this film an extra push to become a complete viewing feast.

Another good and above all fun comedy from director Billy Wilder, actually more of a hilarious farce full of chaotic situations. All this compressed into razor-sharp dialogues that roll across the screen at a killer pace. At times it even got a bit too much of a good thing and a rest point in the film might have been more sensible.

With the smooth scenario, One, Two, Three cleverly responds to the East-West relations at the time and the resulting cold war commotion, and gives it a beautiful sneer.

The film feels a bit dated at times, partly due to the kind of humor, but because of the excellent role of James Cagney (especially his German statements were hilarious) I was able to get over it quite easily.

One, Two, Three may not be one of Wilder's very best films, but it is certainly one that you must see once.
