"Disaster is just a small step away."
mr. Bean wins a vacation to France. He packs his suitcase and camcorder and leaves wet, desolate London. However, the journey to the French coast does not go as smoothly as desired. Everywhere he goes, the perpetually bumbling Bean encounters mishaps and coincidences. At the end of his tour through the French countryside, fashionable Cannes awaits. Along the way, Bean has gathered company: the son of a Cannes jury member and an ambitious actress do not leave his side.

It was difficult for me to get into it and the film was rarely really enjoyable. Most jokes are a repetition of moves and used by him before so now a lot less fun.
In fact you know what to expect when you watch this movie but all in all I expected more from it.

The experiment to make a 1.5-hour Bean sketch is not particularly successful, that is just way too long, despite the finds here and there. Still, there is something to enjoy.
I actually had to laugh the most at the insufferable vanity that the otherwise serious Willem Dafoe happily puts down. Self-righteous Hollywood is being ridiculed here. That scene where the audience falls asleep to his pretentious turd is worth gold.
For dessert, Emma de Caunes has been added, a French candy to die for, deliciously natural.
Atkinson, of course, continues to steal the show and shows world-class facial expressions.
It was nice to have some fun with the family, because it's quite difficult to find a movie for the whole group on Netflix. You can't beat it.
