"Sometimes you need to go far away to find your way home"
Ingelise and Herluf have been happily married for years. However, their marriage is in trouble and Ingelise starts a secret affair with a colleague. In addition, she is busy preparing for the third wedding of their daughter Gite. Meanwhile, Herluf tries to do everything he can to fulfill his obligations as a husband, father and mechanic. When Herluf doesn't come home from work one day, Ingelise and the family start to realize how much they miss him and how little they really know about him.
