Memoirs of an Invisible Man plot
"An adventure like you've never seen."
Nick Halloway accidentally became invisible during an accident. When Jenkins learns of Nick's invisibility, he plans to use him for espionage. Nick's girlfriend Alice Monroe is forced along with Nick not to draw any attention from Jenkins. Nick also has a problem with living as invisible as he tries to find a way to become visible again.

At the time, when I rented this film from the video store, the video box stated that this was a "true laughter avalanche". Who sketched my surprise when this movie tried to be a thriller before? I had good memories of it, but now that I see it again some twenty years later, it's a bit less fun. I've never seen Daryl Hannah so seductive, the other actors do their best (including Michael McKean, who plays the owner of the country house here but always David "I'd be a full-time dreamah!" St Hubbins from [ i]This is Spinal Tap[/i] will continue) and the FX are still pretty convincing, but the plot is a bit too predictable and far too unexciting, also because Chevy Chase, well, just plays Chevy Chase instead from someone you should be nervous about. Entertaining, but whether I'll want to watch it again in twenty years. . .

Reasonable film about a man who becomes invisible due to an accident. The special effects can still be used after more than 25 years. Chevy Chase does little wrong, but his comedic talent is hardly used here. Not really a comedy and not really a thriller, but still entertaining enough for a narrow 3.0 stars.

This is more of a thriller/comedy than a comedy pur sang. Chevy Chase is always a laugh and there is plenty to laugh about in this film too. But there is also a dark tone to it and it is also exciting at times. The special effects are not too bad for a 1992 film.
