Melodrammore plot

Raffaele sells sacred objects and statuettes and is in love with Ada, the Count's daughter, who herself is in love with Duke Efisio again. However, the penniless Efisio wants to marry the wealthy Priscilla, daughter of a butcher who wants to be of nobility. Raffaele is inexorably sidelined by Ada, but when the insatiable Priscilla shows interest in Raffaele, Ada becomes jealous.
