Maskot plot

A boy is told by his dying father that he can only inherit their family business when he can find a new chicken to become the mascot for the logo on the labels of the soy sauce bottles. As the boy tries to accomplish this task, he is constantly hindered by his father's assistant who wants the boy to fail so he can take over the business himself.
