The Teuffel family has been living in the countryside for some time now. In the meantime, the crisis has struck here as well. Jobs are disappearing and people are moving to the city. Son Kai works in the village pub and daughter Lisa has the feeling that she must become a woman quickly when she is 18. Meanwhile, Geate Teuffel is fighting to preserve the water source, the church urgently needs a new roof and mayor Gerd Jänicke is looking for new financial resources for his municipality. Between all the worries, Steffen Teuffel dreams of having his own vineyard...
