Daniel Mogge has a lot of talent, but that doesn't get him any further. Nobody wants to print the novels he writes. His encyclopedias are not bought by anyone. And he only plays the piano for himself. He is also in love with Rita, the daughter of the wealthy music publisher Van Eck. And to impress, one day Daniel decides to buy a dog.
