Le Placard plot
The sweet-natured Francois Pignon works as an accountant in a rubber factory. He is about to be fired. But then his neighbor comes up with a bright idea. Francois should start spreading the rumor that he is gay. The management will think three times before firing him. A lawsuit for discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is the last thing they want. The plan succeeds, but he is now known as gay.
