Le Miracle du Saint Inconnu plot
Just before his arrest, a crook manages to bury his loot on top of a hill in the Moroccan desert. After a long prison term, he returns to retrieve the treasure, but to his surprise he finds a brand new village, with a heavily guarded altar right above his treasure place. The thief naturally wants his loot back, but cannot just violate the now canonized grave. He must therefore become part of the local population, in order to obtain his illegal possession from within.
