Le Destin Fabuleux de Désirée Clary plot
Désirée Clary from Marseille has promised to marry the officer Joseph Bonaparte. However, when she meets his younger brother Napoleon, she falls in love with him. Finally, she gives him her hand and her sister Julie marries Joseph. Shortly after the wedding, however, Napoleon makes the acquaintance of Joséphine de Beauharnais on his return to Paris and leaves Dérirée in the lurch. In revenge, she decides to marry one of his enemies.
