Le Bleu des Villes plot
Solange is a parking meter and Patrick works in a hospital morgue. They seem happily married. Their future is not special, but still assured. Then a childhood friend of Solange storms into the provincial town. This Mylène is a well-known television weather forecaster, who visits her hometown to promote her new book. The two meet and exchange experiences. Through this glimpse of another world, Solange suddenly realizes that her ambitions to become a singer have come to nothing. She is faced with the choice of pursuing her ambitions after all or resigning herself to the tirades of grumbling motorists and her husband's nagging about unpitted cherries.
