Jimmy the Gent is a tout who earns his money by tracking down dubious heirs, from the dead who no longer have real heirs. One day his lover and secretary Joan has had enough of his underhanded practices and resigns. However, Jimmy discovers that her new employer is even more fraudulent than himself and does everything he can to win Joan back.
