I Don't Understand You plot
An American couple, about to adopt a baby, goes on vacation in Italy. It's an opportunity for them to work on their relationship before the new arrival arrives. On the way to the restaurant, their rental car gets stuck in a ditch and they are stranded in a downpour in the countryside. The two Americans, who are used to being at their beck and call, now find themselves in a foreign country without transportation and language skills. Soon, fear and relationship problems take over.

A very disappointing film. Of course the title refers to Americans who cannot make themselves understood in non-English-speaking foreign countries. What follows is a kind of theatre of laughter or a laugh-or-I'll-shoot show. I actually found it too lame for words and had trouble watching the whole film.

Directing duo David Joseph Craig and Brian Crano run with the concept of Americans finding themselves in Europe and running into the usual language barriers. A poor excuse to simply travel to the Italian countryside together, without the viewer receiving a well-crafted script and accompanying elements in return. The acting of Nick Kroll, Andrew Rannells, and the other Italian members is good, but once it is revealed where the whole thing is heading, you are stuck with mediocre humor and a plot twist that is stretched out far too long. In all respects, it is actually too unremarkable for a horror film, and I doubt whether lovers of a good laugh will enjoy this movie.
