Huisvrouwen Bestaan Niet plot

Gijsje is a young, ambitious control freak who wants nothing more than to become pregnant and make a career at the advertising agency where she works. Her older sister Marjolein is married, has three children and has just lost her job as a journalist. Her new ambition: to become a schoolyard mother. Their bohemian mother Loes has gotten herself into trouble with too many mortgages on the beautiful family home where she lives. Gijsje and Marjolein find the idea of losing their family home unpalatable and look for ways to keep it. Only the bonus Gijsje can earn with a golden idea for an advertising campaign can help them out of financial trouble. To do this, she and her attractive colleague Dominique have to delve into 'the housewife of today'; an assignment that has more effect than the three ladies ever imagined.

Not unkind. Consideration.

It's a shame that Rick Engelkes cast himself, because despite the obvious joke around it, he mainly irritates. And of course it remains a flat Dutch romkom - in any case a very plagued genre in the Dutch film industry. Not that there is too much unnecessary nudity, far from it, and besides, that doesn't bother me that easily. But the jokes are just too bland and too predictable. Although there was one bee that did make me laugh, it did. Just way too easygoing and too much bland stuff, that kills it. And I also thought that Jelka van Houten was apparently not having her day, Van De Wijdeven actually did much better. And Loes Luca to my surprise too. Too bad all the men are played by such a bunch of drools. Oh well, what decent actor do we still have in the Netherlands. Rutger Hauer is a bit old by now.

Jim Bakkum doing a striptease, with his chicken breast, Koblenko who thinks there's a comedienne in her, she's just not funny, no matter how hard she tries, that silly Fred van Leer still briefly in the picture as gay -waiter, because oh how open-minded we are.

Sneaky advertising in films, I can somewhat accept that, but if a whole story is made up around it, I'm really done with it. During sex Eva van de Wijdeven and her boyfriend fall through the bed, the next scene Eva is looking for a new bed online in the web shop of a bed manufacturer. A little later she walks with her boyfriend through the shop of the bed manufacturer, where they try out a few beds, that goofy friend thinks everything is fine, of course, but she is complaining about everything, at the end the seller still shouts: 'Have fun with your purchase! Just a little longer, but what a good night's sleep you will have!' Finally, a scene in which the bed is delivered, the name of the bed manufacturer on the side of the truck large in the picture. I also took a look at the Swiss Sense site myself and I really laughed at the negative customer reviews. This one is really worth framing, with a 699 euro innerspring mattress: Worst buy ever, I wake up every morning like I've been hit by a train.

And that theme too: not being able to get pregnant, pregnancy tests, man with lazy sperm, cheating, did get pregnant, what now?... Seed film.

Is it bad that I have shamelessly enjoyed this movie at times?!

I think it's more than fine, especially for this genre. Nice!!
