Comedy and Dutch film do not go well together. 99% are total monstrosities, this movie has the dubious honor of being in between.

Gijs Naber and Robert de Hoog are still quite high, as far as I'm concerned the other two protagonists should be occupied with something other than acting.

Sometimes it's really painfully bad, especially the whole Russian stuff around it is dramatic. Every now and then I could still smile, but if you want to laugh for an evening, you should in any case not watch this film.

Perhaps adolescents can still enjoy themselves with this, but if you have come to some sense then you should skip this one.

2*

Witty.

For a Dutch comedy, remarkably witty and smoothly put together. Sure, this isn't a perfect movie, but it comes pretty close. It's just a bit too useless here and there and not always great.

But the film strikes strikingly often with a number of successful jokes. In particular, the drug deal with a separate drug dealer was hilarious. And for the rest a lot of fun, screaming and funny moments. The film hardly ever switches to drama at any point.

Excellent acting by the gentlemen. The Hoog is sometimes a bit too bruised to play such a hot-tempered and busy character, but otherwise very nice. It is quite witty and I had to laugh remarkably often.

For the rest, smooth editing that goes well. It's a bit of a shame that Karthaus as a director doesn't seem to look further than Dutch comedies, because the direction here looks quite nice. For the rest there are a few slightly lesser moments, but fortunately not too many.

Funny and smooth comedy. Remarkably better than the general Dutch comedy film, and remarkably smooth editing. But otherwise not much more than a simple snack. Karthaus may seriously consider a slightly better project.

A single moment is still funny and Hoog is happy, although I normally can't have him. That must be due to the fact that those 3 roommates are too many caricatures and that's something that kills a film anyway. There is more potential in this story than it gets. In the beginning it looks easy, but in the end it all takes a very long time. Visually okay sometimes, Cees Geel has a fine role. And Dagelet is just fun. 2.0*.
