It's no surprise that this film won a lot of Razzies. This kind of lame humor has been out of fashion in America for a while. Not so bad, if something had taken its place, but in terms of pure comedies there is hardly any choice these days. That's why it's not a bad thing that Cohen comes up with a film like this.

Funny to see Reilly and Coogan back on screen, that's the second time this week. Although it's with Coogan in a much smaller role and in a film that is a lot less subtle. And that's actually putting it mildly, because Reilly and Ferrell play the most noisy and exaggerated version of themselves here.

Certainly not everything is successful, but there are still some nice jokes. Especially the moments when Ferrell and Reilly freewheel a bit. It is clear that the two have played together before and that they therefore know how to work well as a duo. The rest of the cast is also funny, but clearly more in the background.

It's lame, it's clumsy, it can't be taken seriously at all, but that's also why it's refreshing in the current comedy offering.

What a guilty pleasure this is. Admittedly, the plot is a bit sluggish and the pacing is not very smooth, which makes the film feel a bit too slow and the hour and a half really should not have lasted longer. But everything is made up for by the 90 minutes of pure nonsense that Ferrell and Reilly display.

What a lot of stupidity and idiotic stupid dialogues with stupid behaviors of Ferrell and Reilly. Behaviors that only they can get away with.

A total flop and unwatchable for 90% of the people, but this moronic humor and insane characters of Ferrell and Reilly really appeal to me. There are too few of these comedies made these days, maybe for a reason, but I can't get enough of them.

The Titanic dialogues at the end and the dressing up with the moustache in the middle. Really my humor.

A failed attempt at a comic version of the Sherlock Holmes stories on all fronts. Will Ferrell [as Holmes] and John C. Reilly [as Watson] feel compelled to adopt a lousy British accent and stoop to an excessive amount of vulgar jokes. Brydon and Fiennes have little to do as Lestrade and Moriarty in this horribly written comedy. Even Steve Coogan and Hugh Laurie fail to put a smile on your face, but this disastrous film is largely due to director/screenwriter Cohen. Low point: Holmes and Watson singing a musical duet. But opinions may differ on that.
