June Evans, a fashion model, and Tommy Bradford, a travel agent, both dream of getting rich. They meet at the wedding of the daughter of the millionaire J. Westley Piermont and assume that they are wealthy. Piermont, who has a bad memory, unconsciously ensures that the lies of the two are confirmed. June and Tommy start dating and try to outdo each other. But that is quite difficult, because they have no money.
