The operetta star Ulrich Hansen wants to resume her old profession as a doctor and announces her engagement to Regine Röders, the daughter of an industrialist, at his farewell concert. His colleague and ex-girlfriend Ilonka does not like his choice for another woman. Jealous, she devises a plan to prevent the marriage.
