He Died with a Felafel in His Hand plot
Danny, in his late twenties, is already at his 47th community house. He has decided to write the ultimate existential novel. It all starts in Brisbane with Sam, a tomboy girl. The arrival of the free-spirited European beauty Anya gives Sam butterflies in the stomach. Troubled creditors, months of unpaid rent, and a party gone wrong make Danny decide it's time to get out of the house. He flees to Melbourne, where Sam soon joins him after a violent argument with Anya. However, debts continue to pile up and the Melbourne police are particularly trigger-happy. It doesn't take long for Danny to escape to house No. 49 in Sydney. Here he shares his house with the self-centered actress Nina and the two recently gay men Dirk and Flip. When Sam shows up, Danny's life returns to a certain nervous balance, until Anya's arrival throws everything back into tatters.
