Especially considering the presence of Cyrus and hoping for a nice childish movie, this is all way too dull. She does quite well acting, but because of the target group of Hannah Montana it all becomes pretty dull, and also understandable. But that doesn't really work for me. Some highlights are in the dry punchlines of Cyrus now and then, perfect timing sometimes. Swift is also nice to join. But this is mainly a children's film rather than a family film with Swift as a small plus and Cyrus herself as a big plus. Curious how she will do in The Last Song that comes out this year. That seems to me to do better as a grown man.

The fame of Miley Cyrus had kind of passed me by. I only knew Hannah Montana because Zack and Miri make a porn references it.

Later I saw a clip of Cyrus but was not very impressed by her singing talent. She had to rely mainly on her looks and attitude. When I saw another interview with her afterwards, this image was only confirmed.

But the girl is currently very hot so I decided to check this out and it was not that bad. Here and there it is very bland and that bungler from Acky Breaky Heart still can't act but it has to be said that Miley at times steals the show. It remains a slightly spoiled and over-present type, but I cannot deny that she has something to offer. It's not all that good, but Cyrus makes more of an impression than, for example, Hillary Duff in Lizzy Mc. Actually, Cyrus reminds me the most of Lohan when she was cute, but I can only hope for her that she doesn't go the same way.

But anyway this is a very suitable film for the target audience and you have to be able to tolerate Miley and Walt Disney, otherwise you won't make it to the end.

Reasonable

Fairly entertaining.

Know something about the series, but almost never watch it because of the ridiculous Dutch dubbing that I then get involved in.

But this is pretty fun. Doesn't get really great anywhere, but above all looks very nice and Miley Cyrus also knows how to keep it fun (soon to go and watch The Last Song).

Cast does it.. well enough for a movie like this, with Miley being the only outlier. Only Lucas Till underperformed in the beginning and I find his voice rather irritating.

In terms of songs also okay. Reasonable beginning song, an off the hook hip-hop twist after Taylor Swift's performance and a nice ending performance. Furthermore, some songs that I would not immediately call great, but certainly not disturbing.

3.5*
