I really think this is a wonderful movie. I had seen him before, but had forgotten a lot.
These really are THE movies for Fox. Anyway, I think this is a nice actor with a positive appearance. It's a real shame he got sick. Would have liked to see what great movies he had come up with. Beautiful also how Douglas fools his greedy family to see if they go for his money or really love him. The family meals are masterful and bring a constant smile to your face. And then that delicious Olivia d'Abo for the eye candy. Damn what a nice thing. A really good and light-hearted story in which the weaknesses of man come to light. The ending that Joe walks out of his wheelchair is also genius haha

Nice black & especially sarcastic comedy film.
Never heard of this title before but came across it in an IMDB movie list and thought it was very worthwhile.
The cast is clearly looking forward to it! but let's face it, Kirk Douglas was clearly the leading man 
Of course I knew Michael J. Fox mainly through Back to the Future and later in Spin City, he certainly didn't disappoint me in this role, although I forced the story with how he also ended up in the house and not really necessary liked. The best scenes were in the mansion so why not have the whole movie play there?
I saw the plot twist at the end coming half an hour before, but it was a fitting ending.
Nice movie to grab and without a doubt above average, for the above reason not 4 but 3.5 stars.

Mediocre film about a family who will do anything for the great inheritance of their still living uncle. There is very little to laugh about for a comedy. The movie is also too long and the story hangs around a bit about the family's greed without much progress. Old Kirk Douglas still manages to bring a smile here and there.
