Poor dancer Cleo Borden suddenly turns out to be very wealthy when her fiancé dies and leaves her a fortune. Cleo takes it seriously, spends a lot of money, travels the world and makes desperate attempts to appear like a real 'lady'. Then she also falls for the British noble Sir Carrington.
