Gert and Daisy's Weekend plot
The year is 1942. Gert and Daisy volunteer to escort a group of evacuated children to the countryside, away from the London of rationing and nights spent in underground stations. But Maisie, their neighbor, somehow manages to swap their suitcase with that of her sailor friend, and jewel thieves are lurking.
