Garments of Truth plot

Lester Crope, who has a penchant for making up fantastical stories, alarms his village by reporting that the dam above the mayor's house has burst. The town council sends Lester to Dr. Mills in Boston to be treated for his condition. After he is cured, his tendency to tell the truth on all occasions disrupts village life. Dr. Mills states that the only way to return Lester to his former state will be to arrange for him to fall in love.
