Radio star Eve Porter wants to go on vacation after a busy season, but her manager and agent don't like it, as offers pour in for the popular Eve. When she decides to go on vacation, the manager and the agent travel after her to change her mind. When she finds the two at her vacation address, she hides in the car of the journalist Ward Williams. When Ward discovers her in his car, he thinks Eve is the prison breakout "Singing Widow".
