Ene Bene plot
The comedy Ene Bene (Czech for 'iene miene mutte') is set against the backdrop of local election fever in a small Czech town. The Prague student Jana lets her mother persuade her to sit on the election committee for two days. For Jana it is a good distraction to leave Prague life and her complicated personal situation behind. The other members all have their own reasons for making themselves available: a welcome adventure, personal management training, or simply an abundance of time. The elections did not disappoint from a personal point of view. During two days and two nights, the candidates get to know each other and themselves like never before. They make it a big party, with a lot of booze, dancing and personal outpourings. In contrast to these developments, we see the relationship between the Zach couple, Jana's parents. In connection with the father's recent heart attack, the mother is determined to do everything in her power not to anger him. However, with the elections just around the corner, that turns out to be anything but simple. Meanwhile, relations within the committee are also becoming more and more complicated.
