Een Verre Reis plot

A sickly shy, lonely, young bookseller discovers one day that he spontaneously loses parts of his body. The hospital puts him in touch with a fellow sufferer. Together they decide to take a trip to an Asian steppe, the only place where the plant grows that can cure their very rare condition.
