Droog plot
Walter is an alcoholic. He has lost everything: wife, children, house, job and driver's license. He lives again with his domineering mother. But, according to the intertitle, '10 more days of dryness and then everything will be fine with Walter'. Because then he will be allowed to see his children again, and maybe things will work out between him and his wife too. However, after he accidentally becomes involved in the problems of a woman with two children who tries to avoid her abusive husband, Walter's life takes a turn for the worse. The temptation grows, both from the woman and from the bottle. The day after day intertitles start to sound more and more ironic, and Alcoholics Anonymous is also starting to get suspicious. The timid Walter, meanwhile, tries to befriend everyone and stay off the booze - despite recurring, seductive visions of himself as a drunken rocker.
