Der Schnüffler plot
Herbert Beckerman, a West German taxi driver, has to take a drunken man to East Berlin. Once there, the passenger turns out not to be drunk, but dead. To make matters worse, they are in front of the KGB headquarters. Herbert is arrested and the KGB thinks he is a top CIA agent. They release him to follow him. Back in West Berlin, he is kidnapped by the CIA, where they in turn see a KGB man in him. How much can a simple taxi driver tolerate? After several escapes and chases, Herbert ends up with the psychiatrist, Professor Praetorius and his beautiful assistant Anna. She is the only one who believes in his innocence. She gives him a mysterious potion that makes him rock solid and invincible, and then Herbert is able to take on the KGB and the CIA, what's called... the whole world.
