Das Melancholische Mädchen plot
Melancholic girls can be characterized as follows: they wander around, they talk, they have sex and nothing else happens. Still, there is plenty to see in the fourteen episodes that make up this postmodern comedy. All are dominated by a new meeting and an attempt by the girl to find resonance with people in the world around her. However, behind the facade of pastel colours, tightly orchestrated sets and poppy neon lights, there also seems to be a void. In her search for the next place to sleep, the girl imagines herself as a tourist in her own life. And in the conversations with her bed partners she finds no connection, but only an empty echo of herself.
