One day, Adeline's Chinese maid disappears hastily and leaves her six-year-old son with her. What would Adeline do with a child who doesn't speak a word of French and whose first name she doesn't even know? With the help of her sister Delphine, she decides by any means necessary to find the mother of "Cookie" - that's what they call the child.
