Continental Divide plot
"When they met they heard bells. And that was just round one."
Ernie Souchak is a journalist who wants to write an article about the mafia. However, when he learns too much, his apartment is blown up and Ernie finds himself on the street. To divert his attention, his boss sends him to Chicago, where he has to write an article about a strange ornithologist who is researching the American eagle. The two don't get along very well at first, but soon they learn to appreciate each other and something beautiful even seems to bloom.
