Has anyone been able to discover anything like a somewhat cohesive storyline or funny jokes in this movie?

Isla Fisher, of course, looks good. My 2* are therefore for her. Fisher can act quite well at times, as in the fun Definitely, Maybe (2008), but this film is hopeless due to a crappy screenplay. Even her good looks can't help with that.

And what Kristin Scott Thomas has to do with an exaggerated French accent in this film is completely beyond me.

Well what can you say about this movie. Hollywood, predictable and full of clichés is the first thing that comes to mind. Nowhere does it rise above other films in this genre. I expected it to be a little more surprising.

It's not too bad, just very standard. Dancy is certainly not annoying to watch, but the acting performances are quite mediocre. For everyone, by the way, here too the film does not stand out in any way. Fisher does show that she can do something, but in this film it is all terribly over-the-top.

It is definitely my genre, together with family films it is the most watched genre for me. Given the amount of films I've already seen in this, I also expect the predictability and clichés and I generally don't mind that much. Yet there are often films that stand out at a single moment and this one does not profile itself in any way. Too bad, because the story itself offers enough possibilities.

Because it doesn't jump out anywhere, I also end up with a tight insufficient.

“You speak Prada?”

Fortunately, Confessions of a Shopaholic with Isla Fisher has a sparkling centerpiece, because everything else is very mediocre and predictable. The film has humor (the group conversations for shopping addicts are great) and fortunately does not make its lead actress a Saint Mary. But the story as a whole is pretty small, and some subplots don't really work either. Shopaholic has its nice moments and a strong Fisher, but it doesn't really stick.
