Chicago plot
Famous dancer Roxie Hart shoots her boyfriend in cold blood after he leaves her. Roxie's faithful husband Amos forgives her for the murder. The murder case, however, is partly at the hands of journalist T. Roy Barnesen and her flamboyant lawyer Flynn, and Roxie quickly becomes the darling of the media. Roxie is convinced that a celebrity will be exonerated. Amos, displeased with the media frenzy surrounding his wife, kicks Roxie out of the house and seeks comfort from the housekeeper Katie, who has been in love with her employer for years.
