Deep in a swamp somewhere in the Southern States, the evil Grimes keeps a slew of orphans captive on his ranch. They have to work hard in his garden while he treats them like slaves. The children are looked after by Molly, the oldest girl. A gang working with Grimes brings Doris, a young daughter of a rich man, and hides her on Grimes' farm. As the police approach, Grimes threatens to throw Doris into the swamp. But Molly wants to save the baby and bring it back through the alligator-populated swamp.
