"You don't have to be crazy to live here... but it helps."
Since sardines are no longer fished off the coast of California, things have become a lot quieter in Cannery Row. The factory where the fish used to be canned is now the home and laboratory of marine biologist Doc. But he spends most of his time at Bear Flag restaurant, run by Fauna and now with just as dubious a reputation as the ladies who work there. One day, the beautiful bum Suzy visits the restaurant and from that moment Doc's life is turned upside down.
