Blithe Spirit plot
"True love never dies."
A medium conducts a séance at the behest of the writer Charles Condomine. He is struggling with a writer's block that he hopes to remedy through spiritual means. However, during the session, the ghost of his dead first wife Elvira is summoned. A love triangle develops in which his current wife Ruth has to compete with his former wife.
