Now in her forties, Catrin wants to continue her medical studies, which she had interrupted due to her pregnancy, at the University of Marburg. Her fellow students are about the same age as her own children and husband Frank feels a bit abandoned in Berlin. Catrin embarks on a passionate flirtation with a handsome fellow student, putting her marriage on the line.
