What a party.

This was one of those films that I happened to see on Film1's offer and then I thought to myself "okay, let's try this one out". With a running time of 93 minutes, an impressive cast and a comedy-only genre on MM, this seemed like it would be a quick filler.

And it certainly was. A film that focuses mainly on the pace, making it a smooth hour and a half. Director Garrick also tries to keep his film as entertaining and fast as possible, although he still lacks the directing power to do so.

The humor too, by the way. Although the film (fortunately) never falls back into lazy shouty or vulgar humor, it never manages to be really funny. Various star actors try to portray a character, but I can actually conclude that no one really knows how to be funny.

The types are also a bit too strong for that and not sharp enough. Mainly a lot of silly stuff, but presented a little more subtly. Besides that, the acting is still nice. Although there is no one who plays very memorable. Wolff in the leading role is clearly still a bit too inexperienced to take on a role like this.

But the film is relatively smooth and has some nice visual moments. Of which Gomez in the fantasy garden is a highlight. The film is nice and smooth, but in terms of direction it could have used a little more power. Better camera work, tighter editing, etc. Unfortunately, it still lacks a bit to be really special.

An entertaining and relatively short comedy that you can get through in no time. I can't say I cared about it, but it certainly provided entertainment. Film that you have unfortunately forgotten, Garrrick unfortunately does not know how to put his stamp on the film, but it is a nice filler for the afternoon or evening.

Well, the film is easy to watch and not boring, but it never manages to be really funny. The characters are a bit too thick to score comically and the situations or dialogues also remain a bit lackluster in terms of humor. A few nice scenes here and there, such as Shue (his best friend's mother) who constantly wants to seduce Nat, Selena Gomez from the fantasy garden, Heather Graham who accidentally takes drugs and wants to give herself completely to Nat... but in the end... too few scenes like this for a comedy.

Quite a few familiar faces such as Mary-Louise Parker, Dylan McDermott, Jason Lee, Cary Elwes, and Gary Busey pass by. Soundtrack is nice. Selena Gomez does not convince me at all with both acting and presence. Give me Nat's sister, Ashley Rickards. Now that's a nice girl.

5/10

Good grief, this is so cringe-worthy. The vulgar jokes are fired in your face like a machine gun, but they never hit the mark. The apparently nice cast also participates in a competition to see who can portray the worst character - all winners. I have no idea why I watched this, but unfortunately it is 1.5 hours of my life that I will never get back.

1.0 * Obvious behavioral problems
