Baryton plot

1933. Antonio Taviatini, a famous Polish singer returns home after spending 25 years abroad. He arrives in his hometown, accompanied by his unfaithful third wife, an ambitious private secretary and a large entourage. They all stay in a luxurious hotel, where there is a whole plot against him. He builds an opera in Strasbourg with his own money. His secretary suddenly abandons him to start as an opera director himself. Meanwhile, his wife and the secretary have an affair, his manager disappears with the funds and the unfortunate singer loses his precious voice in the bargain.
