To make matters worse, the butcher shop is stormed one day by a group of violent vegans. It's the final blow. But then something happens that changes the course of events: Vincent accidentally kills one of his attackers. What should he do with the body now?

An ode to, or in other words: stolen from, De Grønne Slagtere (2003), but instead of the subtle humor in that film, this variant takes the approach of extremely blunt political incorrectness. Sometimes that works (when ordering in the restaurant, for example) but sometimes it doesn't - if you are vegan, or slightly overweight, a member of some minority or have a somewhat darker skin, I can imagine that it would be somewhat it all goes way too far. I already think so, even though I don't think I have anything to feel discriminated about.

Still, in the art of going over the top, the film does one thing very well - if you go over the top, go far. And perhaps it is naive from the start to expect something subtle from Fabrice Eboué - who, by the way, does a professional job with his role. Just like Marina Foïs, but I expected that too. Always nice to see her in a movie.
