"The friendship we all want. The vacation we all need."
Best friends Barb and Star decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time in their lives. In search of the adventure of a lifetime, they make their way to Vista del Mar, Florida. There, they then inadvertently become involved in an evil conspiracy to kill everyone in town.

This is not a movie for everyone. I know there will be a lot of negative reviews, but this kind of humor is right up my alley. The first 20 minutes the humor was a bit too lame, but after that it was one absurd situation after another. There were deadly mosquitoes, a musical number about seagulls, Morgan Freeman as a crab named Morgan Freeman and more nonsense like that. Unfortunately it is about 20 minutes too long, as is often the case with comedies these days. Some jokes also went on a bit too long, but this movie could still gather a small cult following.

This is an incredibly funny colour festival. So stupid and lame that it becomes fun again. I can imagine that people won't find this interesting at all, but somehow I had a great time with it. I had to get used to the strange style and characters, but I soon felt completely at home in this crazy adventure. Wonderful.

Funny.
Against expectations completely fresh, fruity and cute. I really could not have expected this from a film in which Wiig herself plays the leading role. She keeps disappointing me as a comedic actress, and in this film she is not brilliant either. I am therefore mainly convinced that she simply chose the right film.
A long title for a strange film, it is only logical that the film jumps in all sorts of directions that are not always logical. Normally I would quickly drop out because of this, but this film tackles it all a bit sunnier and smoother. Enjoying this film is therefore rarely a problem, because once the pace picks up from the hotel, it completely grabbed me.
It is the visual style that makes this a film of its own. I can't remember a scene that had a dark environment. Everything is presented exaggerated and that draws some lame moments, but fortunately it also draws enough sunny and funny things with it. All the posters that the film has already make it a bit clear what you can expect.
Yes, I could enjoy this. This shows that even lame comedies can be fun when there is a director behind the wheel who really throws himself into the colors. The film is never overwhelming, perhaps not particularly funny either, but it is a hit and easy to watch. If only there were more of these kinds of entertaining nonsense films.
