Good film about a starting school band that participates in a rock competition. A fun high school comedy that mainly distinguishes itself by the slightly better developed characters. A nice fast tempo, nice and cheerful and also the songs are good. Furthermore, the cast visibly enjoys their roles, which makes the film all the more fun.

Very messy story that jumps from scratch. Not a single line is worked out neatly, nowhere does the film go deeper into anything. It's more announcements: oh I don't know you but you're going to help me with childcare. Oh I just met him but he said something good about 1 record so now he's our manager and we listen to everything he says. Oh my father is sick. Oh my father killed someone. Oh my father is dead.
Everything really stays on the surface.
But had to laugh twice during the whole movie. when Connell fell out of the car. 2: the second kiss scene .
Kudrow isn't bad, but it isn't really funny either.
The plus is the music. The bit at the performance of Burning Hotels and the end performance. The final performance has been awarded an extra half point.

Mediocre.

These kinds of films could be rolled right out of the Disneyland factory. It may have been produced by Walden Media, but this film follows a very well-known recipe and works it out in the safest and most familiar way. Bandslam is a good movie that probably won't impress the seasoned movie fan.

The acting is probably the best part of the movie. We have some nice characters, albeit familiar, and a cast that can actually act. The only one I thought acted rather lazy and unmotivated was Hudgens. I think he can dream these kinds of movies by now. It is therefore not surprising that she has little sense in a film like Bandslam, and she radiates that.

Despite the fact that the film looks quite nice for the relatively long running time of 111 minutes, the viewer will soon notice that what you see is nothing new. The dramatic scenes are outdated, the choices are known and the music is not very special. Tunes that probably work wonders on children, but which no longer leave an impression on the adult audience.

Visually still nice, but again I will criticize that it is all well organized within the lines. Enough happy details, and a nice approach that gives the feeling that quite a bit of money has been left for the film. The pace is sufficient, some jokes are fun and the course is quite energetic. The film is never boring, and that is advantageous.

It's just a pity that you can continue to dream the film. The finale is very sweet and I just don't feel very satisfying after watching this movie. Bandslam is probably ideal entertainment for children, but if you haven't seen more than 1000 films yet, this film will not bring innovative pieces. Safe, yet entertaining cinema.
